Fitness Boot Camp: The Latest Trend for Health Buffs

Boot camps which can go on for up to several weeks, are usually developed for various and also more specific purposes. However, do you know why it has been called a boot camp in the first place? This term, which was used to refer to training camps, came about to describe the more onerous footwear which was used by boot camp trainees.

 

Today however, boot camp has also become a raging fad. The term is being used in order to pertain to any level of social status. This boom in the popularity of boot camps is usually due to their intense workouts which only tend to last for about an hour. Camp members usually feel compelled to accomplish these powerful exercises in an hour and they do this several times a week. They find this generally time efficient as the program is designed to be continuous throughout the given duration of the course.

Each session begins by getting everyone to do some regular warm-up routines such as squatting, treadmill walking and sit-ups. In order to keep the program most enjoyable, the class will usually be divided into groups with each group doing different exercises at a time. As the class progresses, the workout can even get more complicated and even more exciting.

People enrolling in boot camps usually tend to regard these workouts as very hard and rigorous at first. Following the initial sessions however, they come to grasp the full advantages of the program so that they can choose to remain.

However, because of the extremely rigid nature of fitness boot camps, not everybody who wishes to enlist can be admitted. People with some kinds of illnesses might not be able to take any of the more strenuous workouts. Thus, people wishing to join boot camps are also being recommended to undergo a thorough physical examination first and to secure a medical certification that they are fit for the program before their admission.

Boot camps aren't always suitable for extremely sensitive people. Quite often, trainers tend to become impatient and do not care what they say to members who find it hard to follow instructions more exactly. Neither do these trainers often care how they deliver their verbal orders and reprimands.
